Single-player campaign: Featuring the dark, enthralling story of the long-misunderstood Trolls and their battle for survival, with a playtime of around 20 hours.Create & Customise: Create your own hero and choose between distinct skill trees.Streamlined for consoles: Intuitive gamepad integration and tailor-made UI to smoothly control a strategy/RPG mix with complex mechanics.

So we've a right to be trepidatious, though the press release we received does explain that "SpellForce III Reforced offers an intuitive gamepad integration and tailor-made UI to smoothly control an RTS/RPG hybrid with complex mechanics". But if you knew anything about SpellForce as a series, you'd know it sits comfortably in both the "hard" and "core" parts of hardcore. The question then is, can SpellForce III Reforced break the PC-to-console spell that tends to plague these types of ports, and keep the shamers at bay? But make no mistake, a game of this PC-laden depth treads where angels often fear to, and where mockery sits waiting in the wings, to rear its mocking face. Just so you knew I was being both emphatic and *hopefully* jovial. If I could italicise that " forcing" bit of the headline, I would.
